About WhoSaid

Legal tools shaped by the work—not the other way around.

WhoSaid is part of Buggy Works LLC. It was founded by a Chicago attorney and two programmers who set out to make everyday legal-media work more practical.

Our starting point

Small tools can remove large amounts of friction.

Legal work often passes through recordings, transcripts, PDFs, video clips, signatures, calendars, and drafts. WhoSaid brings those practical tasks into a focused Windows workspace, with clear boundaries about what the software does and does not do.

The result is not a substitute for an attorney, a certified reporter, a forensic process, or professional judgment. It is carefully scoped software built to help people do the underlying work.

Local-first where it mattersLocal CPU/GPU transcription, diarization, PDF editing, and video/GIF processing run on the user’s Windows computer.
Originals are preservedEditing workflows create new copies and exports rather than silently replacing source material.
Remote services stay narrowOptional online transcription, translated calls and temporary signature delivery use hosted services, with notices explaining each workflow.
Limitations belong in the productPlain-language notices explain when output is a machine draft, when a signature is unauthenticated, and when review remains necessary.

Who said it - who saw it - who signed it.

WhoSaid connects the words, media, documents, and signatures that legal work produces—while keeping its promises precise.
